Multimedia Website – Future Advice

Multimedia Website – Future Advice

Now that I’m finished with my website about Truck Customization, I wanted to write a little advice for future Multimedia Application students, or for anyone who is thinking about making a website.

1. As you’re making each individual post or page, try to do everything at once so you don’t have to go back and put in things that you forgot to put in to every post because it will make sure you have everything all at once instead of having to go back and change the post. For example, put in all your widgets, tags, alt text, and pictures in each post as you go throughout creating each post because it will make everything go a lot faster.

2. Look at the rubric as you go so that you know what he will be grading you on so that you don’t have to go back and change everything you did wrong or some things you forgot to do because there tends to be some things people forget to do that will have to go back and fix or add after your peer reviews.

3. Make sure you choose a topic that really interests you and that you know a lot about because that will actually make you want to work on your website in your free time because it will be fun to write about it if it interests you. The more you know about your topic then the less you will have to research on it, depending on what kind of website you’re making. Also choose a narrow enough topic so that it’s not super broad because you have to cover everything that you can on your website topic and can’t leave out any portions.
